Residency

The house where The Kinderdijk Project is running used to be a farm.
Now the house is under the administration of an anticrack agency and is the temporary living space of the artist Paul Buchanan.

The house has a small apartment, this is the space that is going to be offered to the resident artist(s). The apartment has bedroom and a studio space. It has its own kitchen and terrace; the bathroom is to be shared. There is also a bike that can be used.

We receive proposals from artists interested in staying for a short period of time in the Kinderdijk Project apartment to work and develop a project in relation to the context.

At the end of the residency period the artist(s) is asked to present his/her project in public. The presentation could consist of an exhibition, a talk, a workshop or any other format that suits best the developed project.

We are currently receiving proposals to carry out in the first semester of 2011.

Guidelines:

  • Written proposal: max 2 A4 pages. Please indicate desired time of residence (2 weeks – 1 month)
  • Portfolio: PDF file with 15 images max (5 MB). If you work with time-based media send us a link to a site where we can check different samples of your work.
  • CV
  • A short general description of your work as an artist (300 words max.)

Please send this to: kinderdijkproject@gmail.com

  1. Hello I am interested in applying for the residency program. I was wondering how much it cost to participate in the residency. Also would the residency accept young artist with little professional experience?
